Golda's Balcony + Opening Night Reception

The VIJFF’s gala opening night, on November 2nd, presents “Golda's Balcony,” starring Tovah Feldshuh in a recreation of her award-winning Broadway performance as Golda Meir in William Gibson’s one-woman play. Feldshuh recalls Meir's life from poor Russian immigrant to Israel's fourth prime minister. Feldshuh portrays 46 characters—including David Ben-Gurion, Henry Kissinger and various Middle East leaders.

Opening night also features an audience Q&A session with David Fishelson, producer of both the film and the Broadway production of “Golda's Balcony.” A reception offering hors d'oeuvres, desserts, beverages and live music will follow at the Union Club, a short walk from the theatre.
